Welcome to South West Snails a family run small business located in the heart of the South West of Western Australia’s food bowl.

A dream and an idea of working from the farm in a sustainable business has now become a reality for owners Nick and Victoria Howe. Along with their three children they started snail farming back in Oct 2022.

A 40-acre property in priority Agriculture land leaves the mind wandering with ideas, and snail farming was one of those.

They have been able to create the optimum environment for snails to thrive, breed and grow. Production of snails will gradually increase over time, and expect to be able to supply 50kg a week within 2 years.

Producing gourmet snails live fresh and direct to the restaurant market within WA is the immediate focus for the business, but research and development is going into interstate and overseas.
